Nancy,
Thanks for your thoughts. Reminds me of the famous prayer of Francis of Assisi:

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen.

Thanks for sharing this amazing truth. I believe this is the season the Lord is asking His people to let go of thinking of peace as a circumstantial occurance and embrace the Peace He offers that supercedes any and all circumstances. Therein lies true peace, joy, and abundant life. You are right. We should be the ones the world looks to and stands in amazement that, in spite of the world chaos, our peace is actually growing and strengthening. The Lord wants to do the miraculous within and through the lives of His children. May we all be instruments within His faithful Hands.

You have a typo in the 2nd to the last paragraph. Line 1. the word "as" is probably supposed to be "has"
