When We Say Organic…
The present reformation is recovering many lost truths requiring a departure from traditional positions and forms in pursuit of a more accurate expression of Christ corporately. Some, having endured failed leadership and structure, have determined to deny any cohesive framework preferring what has come to be known as “organic church.”
Although we agree with the nature of the corporate man being organic, we also embrace the truth that all organisms have a recognizable, functional form due to consistent internal genetic characteristics. Essentially, bodies have skeletons that form the foundation upon which the organism is grown, and by which it derives form and movement.Therefore, we do not see structure as inorganic but as essential to a healthy body.
Our community has a well-defined internal structure that incorporates a core vision, ethos, and set of values, and leadership inclusive of elders, deacons, and equippers. We believe the New Testament reveals a corporate expression that significantly exceeds the present structures and forms, revealing a vibrant, organic communion that shines forth the the glory of Christ: we call this Kingdom Community.
When We Say Kingdom Community…
We define Kingdom Community as a corporate expression of the kingdom of God produced through a convergence of the Eph. 4 grace gifts and interconnected groups of Christ-followers who are dynamically engaged in God’s purposeful pursuit of expressing His Kingdom in the earth and the ultimate finish of this age. As well, we affirm that the kingdom of God is within and seeks to express all His divine attributes through the corporate manifestation of our King Jesus Christ.
We believe the nature of Kingdom Community is organic, and its expression exhibits both externally unique and internally uniform qualities. For us, uniqueness is expressed through Relational Groups and Villages, while uniformity is expressed through our ethos, values and leadership.
