We are encouraged to give attention to doctrine (1 Tim. 4:13), to continue steadfastly in the apostle’s doctrine (Acts 2:42) and to admonish those who teach another doctrine (1 Tim. 1:3). Paul also warned that the time would come when many would turn away from sound doctrine (2 Tim. 4:3) and he encourages maturity so that we might stand against every wind of doctrine that attempts to deceive (Eph. 4:14). Clearly, doctrine is important.
As a community of believers we hold to certain positions concerning both the fundamental and practical aspects of the faith. We do not claim to have discovered the one and only right way to assemble, nor do we believe there is necessarily such a way. We do however believe the Lord has revealed certain principles through the function and interaction of believers in the early church to which we seek to adhere. We also believe certain practices within Modern Christianity clearly violate scripture, rendering the people of God fruitless, lacking victory and remaining immature in their relationship with the Lord and their brethren.
This set of pages provides an introduction to our fundamental doctrines and the practical structure of our community.
