Concerning the Body of Christ, we believe…
We believe the scripture clearly reveals there is only one ekklesia (church) in a city which is why we do not call ourselves a “church”. We recognize the function of several communities within the one local ekklesia but believe they should build outward towards the one body rather than inward toward themselves. These communities may express Christ corporately in a variety of unique ways, but their heart should be one with the entire body: one heart, one mind, one faith, one Lord, one body!
Furthermore, we believe these communities should seek interaction, interdependance and cross-pollination so that a mature corporate expression of the kingdom and person of Christ can be seen throughout our city. We also believe the corporate Body is the agent through which God reveals Himself to the world and displays His majesty to the rulers and authorities in heavenly places. Therefore, the Lord is raising up a people in the earth who are passionately and diligently pursuing individual transformation so that they might be built together into a mighty habitation of the Spirit. And we will give Him no rest until He makes Zion a praise in the earth!
